There’s no better way to celebrate your best gal friends than with a fun and beautiful Galentine’s Lunch. Our friendships are to be cherished, loved and appreciated and in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, some of my friends and I set up a Galentine’s styled shoot to inspire you to honor your special gals in a fun, exciting way not just at Valentine’s but anytime throughout the year.

My friends at The Blossom Design opened up a beautiful new studio in Addison, Texas called The Creative Studio and they were gracious enough to let us use their venue for this shoot. I got some of my favorite vendors (aka friendors) to collaborate - we had the best floral designer, talented bakers, creative sign makers and the perfect new venue to pull off a lovely styled shoot. To top it off, we had gorgeous, luxury makeup and travel bags by Hollis at each guest seat as a take-home gift and their colors worked perfectly with our color palette. Who wouldn’t feel totally loved receiving one of these gorgeous bags?

The Galentine’s Lunch was so pretty and I had the best time styling and photographing it. Thank you to The Blossom Design for their beautiful venue and a huge thanks to Lucia, Angie, Courtney and Lori for your wonderful help in pulling off this lovely inspirational photo shoot.

Every Little Girl's Dream

Every little girl dreams of a fairytale party with all the pretty little things: butterflies, gardens, balloons, friends, fun, music, lots of play and all-of-the-sweets. This party, designed by the creative team at The Blossom Design in Dallas, Texas, went ABOVE and BEYOND!

The theme was visible as you drove up to the beautiful estate in Frisco, Texas, where you were greeted by a stunning 12-foot butterfly frame outlined in green moss and filled with hundreds of roses and flowers. Surrounding the butterfly structure were hundreds of single roses standing straight on their stems. To enter the party, guests were led through a tunnel beautifully adorned with lush greenery with purple butterflies perched on branches, all lit up in a soft purple wash - as sweet fairy music played - it was truly magical!

I could go on with more details but I’ll let the photos do the the talking. Congratulations to Areli and Cynthia at The Blossom Design for orchestrating such a stunning event. Every little detail was perfectly planned and executed. The event flowed so smoothly under their direction and most importantly, the client was in awe of the beautiful event custom designed just for her little girl. I can’t wait to work with this wonderful team of vendors again!

It's a Golden Birthday!

A golden birthday means you are turning the same age as the day they were born. My sweet girl, Giselle, was born on the 7th, so today is my firstborn’s GOLDEN BIRTHDAY! Woohoo!

How 7 years have passed since she changed our lives is unbelievable. We love her cute personality, her laughter, her curiosity, free spirit, her smarts, her love for God and her family and her beautiful heart. As parents, we couldn’t ask for more. She fills our lives with so much goodness and joy - we consider ourselves beyond blessed to have her.

We celebrated BIG this year. We had a party with her friends and a separate party with our family. We were going to decorate EVERYTHING gold but Giselle requested we add a rose gold color and it was perfect. We had our annual birthday photo shoot in the gold theme and used some of those images to decorate the cake table and around the house for her party. I love having a cohesive look.

Styled Bridal Session {White Sparrow Barn}

What an incredible experience it was to gather with 150 other creatives from all around the country recently at the dream wedding venue, the White Sparrow Barn in Quinlin, Texas. Styled Shoots Across America put on a fantastic conference I'll never forget. Not only did I meet many new photographers but I also learned so much about the wedding industry and how it relates to photography.

Each of the conference speakers shared such knowledge from the heart and the vendors outdid themselves in beautifully adorning the White Sparrow Barn. It was a wedding photographer's dream come true. I’m still giddy!

I absolutely loved capturing this gorgeous model, Rebecca. She looked incredible in her Impression Bridal gown, almost like a Greek Goddess.  I wanted to portray her more dramatic side and I think she nailed it!

What a joy it was to work with this lovely girl, Sam. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous and smart but her personality is super cute and fun! And I just loved working with her sweet mom during the shoot, lots of laughs!

"The Alwerts"

If ever there was a lovely family - THIS IS IT! The Alwerts are one of my favorite families to work with. Not only are they gorgeous, adorable, photogenic and stylish, they're absolutely kind and loving to one another. <3 They're the real deal!

In the past, we've done their family portraits in a nature setting but this year we changed it up a bit and headed to the Bishop Arts District for a different, more urban feel. It was a lot of fun and their Christmas cards were sheer PERFECTION!

I've had so much fun capturing their sweet family at different stages and I consider it such a blessing to have clients like the Alwerts.
